On our way back to the South of France we made a quick stop in Annecy. Annecy is an alpine town in France about 30 mins away from Switzerlands border that I definitely recommend you check out.
Lake Annecy and Annecy-le-Viex are the places you must see while visiting. If you google Annecy you'll see exactly why I wanted to stop here, this little town is adorable. Luckily, the towns Christmas market was still up and right by the entrance they were selling vin chaud (hot wine) aka the greatest invention ever and my personal favorite French dish, tartiflette.
I remember the first time I went to a Christmas market was 3 years ago during my study abroad in Glasgow, Scotland and I was forever hooked. I love Christmas markets so it was nice to see one this year right before they're all gone. If you're visiting Europe during Christmas time I definitely recommend you go to every Christmas market you come across and buy some hot wine to enjoy the walk.
